Certified Nurse Assistant
Glory Nursing offers a CNA training program composed of 75 hours. The CNA course is offered conveniently in our location in North Oklahoma City. This CNA training program is composed of class hours, on hand training hours, practice tests, and clinical hours. Glory Nursing course is completed in 2 weeks or longer depending on your selected schedule.
What is a CNA?
Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for the general care of patients. They report to either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist them with patient care. Once you have completed your CNA training with us, you will take the CNA certification test. Once passed you may be hired in a nursing home, assisted living facility, hospital, personal home or adult daycare center. Your day to day duties may include:
- Helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene
- Feeding patients
- Ensuring patients take their medication
- Assessing vital signs
- Recording vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate
- Reminding patients to take medications and other nutritional supplements as needed
- Checking patient vital signs each day and keep precise records in the patient’s chart
- Providing physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising
- Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them
- Monitoring patient needs and reporting any issues to other healthcare personnel
